Abstract

At present, surgery is the most effective method to treat chronic suppurative otitis media. The purpose of surgery is to completely remove the lesion and make the best efforts to retain or improve the hearing of patients to improve the quality of life of patients. Keep the mastoid bone bridge effect a radical cure tympanoplasty (Intact-bridge mastoitympanoplasty, IBM) both safely mastoid type to a certain extent effect a radical cure tympanoplasty (canal wall down CWD) postoperative retention and open mastoid hearing effect a radical cure tympanoplasty (canal wall up CWU) lesions cleared completely advantage.The author hopes to provide a reference for the selection of surgical methods by summarizing the surgical methods, improved surgical effects, recurrence rate, indications and contraindications of mastoidectomy for tympanoplasty with bone bridge preservation.
