Abstract

There is a direct relationship between user SIR (signal to interference ratio) and the capacity of DS-CDMA systems. Thus, effective power control is desirable in order to provide the required QOS to a maximum number of users. A dynamic distribution algorithm can be employed to balance the QOS delivered to different network regions. A new dynamic distribution algorithm is introduced here which deactivates some users to maintain the required SIR (and QOS) for the remaining users.
