Abstract

AbstractA heat‐resistant soluble hyperbranched polyaryl ether ketone (HPAEK) is synthesized as the main resin of sizing agent and coated on the surface of carbon fiber (CF) with active group. As a result, the monofilament tensile strength of CF is increased by 12.00% and due to the improved fiber surface wettability and interface compatibility between CF and polyether ether ketone (PEEK), a 68.29% increase of interlaminar shear strength is achieved.
