Abstract

AbstractAn improved technique for an H‐plane nonreciprocal ferrite phase shifter is introduced in this letter. A numerical analysis is carried out using the finite‐element method (FEM) to determine the effect of the technique quantitatively. Both experimental and numerical results show that the differential phase shift of the improved device has been increased by over 70%. The measured results also show that the insertion loss of the improved device is smoother than that of the old one. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 30: 236–237, 2001.
