Abstract

This paper focuses on improving the performance of synchroextracting transform technique in dealing with frequency-modulated (FM) signals. For the time-varying signal, the SET technique has shown some potential for extracting the instantaneous features of the signal. However, the theoretical framework of SET is established on the fact that the signal to be analysed should be stationary or slowly time-varying. We consider expanding the theoretical fundamental of SET based on the linear FM signal model for a wider variety of practical applications.
