Abstract

Radiofrequency ablation and percutaneous ethanol injection are used as treatments for hepatocellular carcinoma due to their ability to induce tumour necrosis (death). However, there is limited randomised controlled trial (RCT) evidence regarding the relative efficacy of these treatments in people with small liver tumours.
