Abstract
Objective To explore the surgical effect of improved tarsal strip lateral canthus fixation combined with lower eyelid retractor plication for the treatment of severe or recurrent entropion.Methods Thirty-six eyes of 26 cases of severe or recurrent senile lower eyelid entropion were treated by improved tarsal strip lateral canthus fixation combined with lower eyelid retractor plication.The surgical effect and complications were analyzed.Results All patients were cured by one surgery.They were satisfied with the surgical results.No recurrence was observed during 1 month to 4 years of follow-up.Conclusion Improved tarsal strip lateral canthus fixation combined with lower eyelid retractor plication has satisfactory cosmetic effect for the treatment of severe or recurrent lower eyelid entropion.
