Abstract

This paper presents a secure dynamic key management scheme with access control in user hierarchy which is an improvement of Wu et al. [1] key management scheme. Wu et al. [1] scheme is also improvement of Nikooghadam et al. [2] scheme. The proposed scheme uses hybrid cryptosystem (Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem, AES, one-way hash function) and the redundant computations of Wu et al.'s scheme have been excluded but at the same time the scheme supports the dynamic features efficiently. This paper shows that it is efficient in terms of computational and storage overheads compared to both Wu et al. and Nikooghadam et al. scheme. This scheme shows that it is provable secure under random oracle model as well as successfully prevents attacks from different adversaries.
