Abstract

Recently, a scheme for quantum teleportation (QT) of certain class of ten-qubit state by using eight-qubit entangled state as the quantum channel was proposed by Zhao and Li in [Int. J. Theor. Phys. 59, 2147–2154 (2020)]. In this paper, it is shown that the quantum resource used in the scheme proposed by Zhao and Li is excessively high because the actual teleportation task can be reduced to QT of an arbitrary two-qubit state and therefore QT of such class of ten-qubit state can be realized successfully by utilizing either two Bell-states or a four-qubit cluster state as the quantum channel. It has also been pointed out that the authors made trivial conceptual mistakes in the description of quantum channel and measurement basis.
