Abstract
In this paper, the root mean square error (RMSE) and Bias of localization results based on two-step weighted least squares (TSWLS) and weighted least squares (WLS) algorithms for time difference of arrival (TDOA) and frequency difference of arrival (FDOA) localization methods are proposed to solve the problem of poor estimation performance due to noise. This paper proposes an improved algorithm of TDOA or FDOA positioning methods, this method in the classic two-step weighted least squares algorithm of the second step before the results of the first step to a first order Taylor series expansion, get first step algorithm due to the nonlinear relationship in the target parameter, linear minimum mean square estimation error caused by the deviation estimate, and then give up When the positioning error is small enough to reach the iteration threshold, the final estimation of target position and velocity can be obtained. Compared with WLS and TSWLS algorithms, the improved algorithm proposed in this paper has better performance.
