Abstract

A new multifunctional structure will be presented, permitting to implement two circuits: a linear differential amplifier and a linear active resistor. The linearity can be increased using new techniques and the overall circuit area is reduced using multifunctional structures. The circuits are developed for 0.35μm CMOS technology and their supply voltage is ± 3V. The circuits have a very good linearity (THD < 0.4%) and an extended range of the input amplitudes (±0.5V). The maximal range for the equivalent resistances implemented using the active resistors is about hundreds kΩ-MΩ.
