Abstract

A novel ZnO:Al seed layer/Ag nanowires/ZnO:Al nanorods (AZO SL/Ag NWs/AZO NRs) composite structure for transparent conducting films was successfully obtained to enhance the light trapping and electrical properties concurrently. The morphology of Ag NWs and AZO NRs interlaced composite structure on the AZO SL was observed. Compared with the simplex AZO SL/AZO NRs films, the films with AZO SL/Ag NWs/AZO NRs composite structure had lower average sheet resistance (13.8 Ω/sq) and higher haze value (0.33) at 550 nm, which exhibited the effective improvement of both electrical and light trapping properties. The studies on the AZO SL/Ag NWs/AZO NR composite films in this work provide a novel structure for transparent conducting films applied in solar cells.
