Abstract

In the sky background, the traditional Otsu algorithm cannot separate the foreign body on the transmission line from the sky background well. Based on this, an improved Otsu algorithm optimized by genetic algorithm is proposed. By optimizing the weight of the target and the background, the variance between classes is reduced to obtain the optimal threshold with better segmentation effect. After experimental demonstration, the proposed method has better advantages than traditional Otsu and other threshold segmentation algorithms.
