Abstract

For multipath propagation conditions, FBMC (Filter-Bank Multicarrier) signal structures have been synthesized, providing the best indicators for resistance to high-level interference concentrated in the spectral region close to the operating radio frequency range. The variants of FBMC modification with the duration of the signal symbol L= 4 (the maximum value regulated in the technical documentation) and with the extended duration of the signal symbol L=5 are considered and compared. It is shown that in conditions of multipath propagation, the variant with L=5 loses to the variant with L=4 in terms of TOI=ISI+ICI (Total Interference=Inter Symbol Interference + Inter Carrier Interference) from 0.4 dB to 0.8 dB. But in terms of suppression of interference concentrated in a close spectral region, the variant with L=5 exceeds the traditional FBMC variant with L=4 by more than 12 dB. The last circumstance of the modified FBMC structures allowed us to establish the potential possibility of using OQAM256 or even OQAM1024 modulations on subcarriers in conditions of close spectrally placed interference with levels 30 dB higher than the signal level.
