Abstract

Due to the limitation of single-vector MPC (Model Predictive Control) and duty cycle MPC current control in voltage vector selection, double vector MPC is applied to the control of linear motor current loop. The control strategy selects two voltage vectors in a sampling period, which enlarges the range of the actual acting voltage, so the voltage vector selection is more accurate. In view of the large amount of calculation of the algorithm, the voltage vector selection method is improved to reduce the range of vector selection and simplify the calculation. The experimental results show that the improved double-vector MPC algorithm can improve the regulating and tracking performance of the current loop, restrain the thrust fluctuation of the linear motor effectively and enhance the stability of the linear motor operation.
