Abstract

Ceramic samples with compositional formula (1-x)BaTi0.80Zr0.20O3-xBa0.70Ca0.30Ti0.99Fe0.01O3 with x = 0.45, 0.50 and 0.55 were prepared by conventional solid state reaction method. The structural analyses were done by X-ray diffraction and Scanning Electron Microscopy. A high value of dielectric constant at room temperature was found for all the samples. PE hysteresis loops were recorded and energy storage efficiency was determined for all the samples. The value of η was found to be around 80% at a small electric field of 20 kV/cm. The results show significant improvement in the properties of the prepared ceramics.
