Abstract

The error sources which have proven to be dominant in our previous γ′ <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">p</inf> experiments are discussed and improvements in the experimental setup to reduce their influence on the coil-constant determination below the 1-ppm level are described. In particular, the problems involved in flux profile measurements by means of a SQUID magnetometer are considered.
