Abstract
The orthogonal gradient multiconfigurational method of Golebiewski, Hinze and Yurtsever has been modified to produce more rapidly a symmetric form of the generalized Fock ( F) matrix. Test calculations using MINDO/3 and GAUS70 integrals show F′ = 1.25 F −0.25 F + to be more rapidly convergent than F alone when used with the orthogonal gradient transformation.
