Abstract

OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is a MCM technique for transmitting high speed data over channels of multipath fading in nature. Along with number of advantages of using OFDM there are some disadvantages such as transmitted signal high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR). Different researchers have introduced several methods to combat the above mentioned problem but some of them results in an increase in the complexity of the system, some results into BER(Bit error rate) performance degradation and some of them results into a significant rise in transmitted signal power, etc. In order to get rid of these issues a pleasantly newACE method has been introduced that gives better results in terms of PAPR and BER but there was a issue of disturbance in adjacent channel due to use of clipping technique for power reduction in initial stage. So, in this paper we have proposed a new enhanced ACE scheme in which the clipping technique block is replaced with Peak Inversion (PI) and butter worth band pass filter is added after the ACE constraint block for generating less distortion and more smoothing. As, it has been concluded from survey that among different PAPR reduction techniques, PI found to be an effective technique which can reduce the PAPR of a signal to a much greater extent in one domain via introducing or injecting an impulse signal of relatively high value to the same signal in any other domain. The Matlab is used for analyzing the proposed enhanced ACE scheme that gives better results in terms of both PAPR and BER.
