Abstract

AbstractRenewable energy plays a vital role in power production of all over the world. Solar power is most prominent source of renewable energy system, which can be utilized to deliver the power. With just the sun as the primary spring of energy, we cannot depend on it for the duration of the day as it will not be accessible at the evening time. Our main aim is to use the solar panel even at the night time efficiently. So we developed the new method to implement it. Here, we place the solar panel with solar tracker over the street light by removing the top layer of the aluminium covering. As we analysed only the four sides of the solar aluminium covering is required to focus the street light towards the street, and top layer is not required so we replaced the top layer aluminium covering of the street light with the solar panel with solar tracker. At morning, the solar tracker is used to track the maximum position of the sun and turns the solar panel towards it. During the night time, it turns the solar panel towards the street light so that the 80% of the power the street light uses is returned backed so we get maximum amount of the energy as the free energy which can be utilized to the other purpose. Here, we use the DC–DC boost converter to get high voltage output with which efficiency can be increased.KeywordsSolar cellSolar trackerLDRLimit switch
