Abstract

In this experimental study, for assessment the durability of concrete containing rubber, 9 mixtures containing 0, ,10,15 and 20% rubber particles as aggregate were considered. For determining fresh and hardened behavior of this concrete, Slump, T50, V-funnel, J-ring, L-box and compressive and flexural strength tests were performed. In the following, after placing samples in the sulfuric acid corrosive environment with PH=1.5 for 30 and 60 days, weight loss and compressive and flexural strength tests were carried out. Results showed that with increasing rubber particles, fluidity, passing ability and dispersion of self compacting concrete decreased. little increasing observed for compressive and flexural strength up to 30 days immersion in sulfuric acid solution, but After 60 days immersion, strength reduced for all samples. With adding rubber, durability of samples improved significantly compared to the control sample. Weight of all samples decreased after corrosion, that samples containing rubber showed better performance in weight loss compared to the control sample. for compressive and flexuraIn this experimental study, for assessment the durability of concrete containing rubber, 9 mixtures containing 0, ,10,15 and 20% rubber particles as aggregate were considered.
