Abstract
The wide spread of green walls in urban areas has come to be desired for the purpose of the environmental improvement, particularly the improvement of urban landscape. Various new green wall construction methods have been developed. On the other hand, we can see many bad green walls which vegetation has withered or with which the vegetation is replaced to the fake. This makes fine greening of urban areas worse rather. So, this research has been conducted to recognize what is required to create fine greening of urban areas by making green walls. When planning a green wall, it becomes important to grasp what are the evaluation criteria with a high priority. For example, when the green wall construction method with a highly attractive design is selected, and its maintenance performance is inferior, the control of maintenance which is good enough and has much frequency must be needed to secure fine greening permanently.
