Abstract

In the treatment of chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI), achievement of wound healing is an important goal, and the arterial environment of the foot is important in achieving the goal. Recently published Global Vascular Guidelines for CLTI showed the Global Limb Anatomic Staging System (GLASS) to evaluate arterial anatomic complexity, but GLASS does not include pedal artery anatomy and only suggested a three-level modifier for the pedal arteries because of the lack of sufficient evidence on how it affects the outcome of treatment.
