Abstract

The Digital Arts course was introduced in 2015 in IIT Mandi to empower students with computer graphics skills to learn to develop visual content for explaining their research. It was appropriate as its practitioners can use these skills as scientists, researchers, and educators. Computer graphics development for pragmatic contributions to interdisciplinary research has collaborated between art, design, science, and technology. The course content introduced involves 2D graphics, animation, movie creation, and editing skills. This paper is based on experts' views about the subject and areas and students involved in the Digital Art course introduced to them as an interdisciplinary course at IIT Mandi from 2015-17. This paper is the actual observation about the importance of course activities, students' works, and fellow faculty members' requirements in various fields.
