Abstract

Education is one of the most important aspects of the process of insulation of knowledge to students, not to mention in the covid-19 pandemic situation. Without adequate knowledge, they would have drifted away with the waves of a borderless world. Strong knowledge will be able to spur a student to stay on track and to be able to build a good life landscape. Therefore, this study is aimed at looking at the implications of PdPr through online during the Covid-19 pandemic survey on the perception of teachers in schools around the district of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The study used quantitative methodology based on questionnaires distributed through Google Form. There were 255 respondents among the teachers in schools around Kota Kinabalu district who took the time to participate in the study. The findings show that there are nine positive implications of PdPr through online such as better implemented PdPr online than no classes, parents help students in PdPr, students can apply technology in Education well and so on. The study also found eight negative implications in online PdPr based on the feedback of teachers in schools around Kota Kinabalu district. The main negative implication is that students do not have sufficient facilities to participate in PdPr because they do not have gadgets, do not have enough data, uncertain telecommunication networks and family socio-economic problems. This finding clearly illustrates the actual situation of student achievement and involvement during the implementation of PdPr online. Hopefully, the findings of this study will help the Ministry of Education specially to restructure the online teaching and learning methods in the future to ensure that no students are left behind in daily lessons.
