Abstract
The recent measurements of the bottom-quark $b$ lifetime and the ratio $\frac{{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}_{b\ensuremath{\rightarrow}u}}{{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}_{b\ensuremath{\rightarrow}c}}$ are used to analyze the quark-mixing phenomena. We report the implications of these measurements on the Kobayashi-Maskawa angles and phase, ${K}_{e3}$ and hyperon decays, $\mathrm{CP}$-violation parameter $\ensuremath{\epsilon}$, $t$-quark mass, ${K}^{0}\ensuremath{\leftrightarrow}{\overline{K}}^{0}$ transition dynamics, ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{-}{\overline{B}}^{0}$ mixing and $\mathrm{CP}$ violation, and nonleptonic decays and leptonic production of heavy quarks.
