Abstract

For the effective implementation of Six Sigma projects, organisations must understand the critical success factors that will make the application successful. Critical success factors represent the essential ingredients without which a project stands little chance of success. The authors present some essential ingredients for Six Sigma implementation, generated from a pilot survey conducted in UK manufacturing and service organisations.
