Abstract

It has been exactly a year since the "Public Order Management and Penalty Regulations of the People's Republic of China" (hereafter Regulations,), passed by the Seventeenth Session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, went into effect on 1 January 1987. On New Year's Eve, this reporter interviewed Minister of Public Security Wang Fang and asked him about the implementation of the Regulations.
