Abstract

Development of technology and the significant growth in telecommunication have played a vital role in education. Depending on traditional methods in education becomes not effective method to achieve the goals of academic institutions. Therefore, last decades have witnessed to the high spread of using technology in education. As the world shrinks and becomes one big limited village, interactive video learning has made its way into classroom. It has great potential for learning in higher education. The potential lies in creating greater opportunity for dialogue which facilitates more effective learning than working in isolation. Classroom walls are coming down and virtual classrooms are going up in their place! Interactive videoconferencing allows for visual and voice interaction, enabling educators to build interdisciplinary collaborations while increasing students’ learning, interaction, and enthusiasm. Nowadays, many academic institutions have resort to the use of interactive video as mean of communication between lecturers and students instead of use the traditional system. Lecturers can teach their lectures while they are sitting in their office and students can interact with them through video.
 In this research we are going to provide full proposal and design to interactive video learning system for the international Islamic University (IIUM). During this research we will investigate the current infrastructure of IIUM and then we will propose the update that should be done in order to achieve this significant research.
