Abstract

Student in high school level did not have experience in group formation. They forming group based on the playmate, community, or private group chat. It can cause imbalance group work of student. For example, smart student will join with other smart student, students choose their friend as a team because of game community or group whatsapp. The imbalance group formation can cause: (i) student did not complete their tasks because it already complete by other (ii) student avoid group discussion (iii) if poor-work student gather into one group, it can makes progress running slowly because they did not understand how to complete their tasks. We propose dynamic group formation using pot model system to overcome the problem. We also redesigned our collaborative tool that is removes several module and add pot model system to group module. Pot model system place students into group based on student-ranked. In every week, student-ranked will updated automatically to place student in different formation for the next group assignment. Student expected to collaborate with other even though not one community, group chat, or playmate. Based on the experiment phase, collaborative tool can promote fairly group division. 37 students can improve their grades on group assignment.
