Abstract

AbstractA Central Station Monitoring system provides real-time centralized management of patient monitors. Patient’s real-time vital signs can be simultaneously supervised at the central station and immediately recognizing clinical and system conditions through distinct alarm annunciation and alarm notification. This paper describes the implementation using multithreaded programming to resolve multiprocessing in a patient monitoring central station. In addition some commands from the communications protocol designed to obtain data from patient monitors on the network are presented and discussed. As a result some solutions implemented and tested in one application software are presented.Keywordsbedside monitorsmonitoringmultithreads
