Abstract

Research evaluation has become a large part of science and technology management. It is involved in the grants decision process and funds allocation as part of a broader research policy. Researchers’ bibliographies in Slovenia include the evaluation of bibliographic indicators of scientific performance according to the Slovenian Research Agency methodology for researchers, research groups, projects, programmes and organizations – all on the national level. This paper offers a short presentation of this evaluation methodology and its implementation based on actual data, with special emphasis on scientific articles and impact factors for journals and citations from the Web of Science and Scopus databases.
