Abstract
Abstract In Belgium, public takeovers and changes of control are regulated by the law of April 1, 2007, on public takeover bids, the Royal Decree of April 27, 2007, on public takeover bids and the Royal Decree of April 27, 2007, on public squeeze-out bids. The aforementioned Law and royal decrees entered into effect on September 1, 2007, and implement the Directive 2004/25/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 21, 2004, on takeover bids.
