Abstract

<p>The paper introduces both the interrupt concept and the related concepts of time consuming and instantaneous actions as developed in the DELTA Project within a truly parallel environment.</p><p>It then discusses how to understand the concepts in a quasiparallel environment such as the class SIMULATION where one can only approximate continuous change.</p><p>Different implementation strategies are examined and their efficiency discussed.</p><p>DELTA Project Report, 6</p>
