Abstract
Background/Objectives: The Department of Social Psychiatry in Aarhus, Denmark's second largest municipality, has since 2006 worked on a large quality development programme with the purpose of ensuring that users are met with a recovery oriented approach. The reorientation embraces the entire Department of Social Psychiatry in the City of Aarhus. From 2007–2009 the implementation was guided by a centrally managed master plan. The period from 2009–2011 is then dedicated to anchoring and supporting the local managers. During 2011 the sturdiness of the implementation will be evaluated.
