Abstract
The present shortage of MRI technologists continues to interfere with the delivery of care of patients. In addition, there have been limited solutions to cover disability, sickness, vacation, and personal days of that limited workforce. Our practice decided that the best way to address these coverage problems was to implement a virtual remote scanning solution. We explain the IT infrastructure, training and policies needed to implement this innovative solution safely and successfully to the MRI technologist shortage.
