Abstract

Motion blur is one of the camera effects that appears due to the exposure time of the camera. This visual effect is usually simulated in movies and game to give a realistic impression. In the past few years, motion blur effects are generally available in modern game engines. Unfortunately, due to various limitations, some game engines’ open sources are yet to provide motion blur, Urho3D being one of the examples. This research is an attempt to implement reconstruction filter to create motion blur effects in Urho3D. Reconstruction filter is a gather algorithm that simulates motion blur effects in real-time. The outcome of this research is to demonstrate that reconstruction filter needs fine-tuning parameter to be able to produce matching results for scenes and hardware target situations.
