Abstract

Nursing is a very demanding field, and work-related stress can negatively affect the lives of nurses and their performance in daily work-related functions. Stress can lead to mental and physical changes, clinical errors, negligent patient care, a decrease in patient satisfaction, absenteeism from work, and conflicts with peers and those in leadership positions. This project was implemented in a mother-baby unit at a major academic urban hospital. The participants included full- and part-time English-speaking nurses.
