Abstract

Precise control of industrial processes is challenging due to lack of sufficient knowledge about their behavior. These industrial processes are mostly controlled by the human operator responsible for making the selection of fuzzy logic optimal parameters for controlling industrial processes. As we are witnessing the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the emergence of industrial Internet of things, it became possible to benefit from the power of the hardware of the work stations and to provide wireless connection using microcontrollers building intelligent and reliable online control system. The wireless control system is suitable for environment witnessing dusty weather and a lot of pollutants, due to which the maintenance is difficult and costly. The wireless LabVIEW control and monitoring system if it is decided to be used will be very useful to overcome problems and it can be regarded as the best solution. The use of Wi-Fi for data transmission between the control device using PIC18F6627 microcontroller and LabVIEW will be reliable and help-full to control and automation. There are many off-the-shelf PIC microcontrollers boards which can be linked to industrial communication protocols. This paper focuses on designing, testing and developing wireless connectivity through TCP/IP protocol between the SBC65EC board and LabVIEW and discuss design and implementation the wireless network between the LabVIEW and PIC18F6627 selected for its fast analog to digital converter, through TCP/IP Ethernet network for control and monitor purpose for Crude Oil Separator Industry.
