Abstract

This paper describes a luggable linear loudspeaker arrays system and formation of a sound spot. Many loudspeakers located in line are called a linear loudspeaker array. The linear loudspeaker arrays of some lines can form a sound spot in a focus. It is because the appropriate attenuation and the delay for each linear loudspeaker are given. The sound spot means a small area of higher sound pressure level. The existing linear loudspeaker arrays system is heavy and hard to transport. The existing linear loudspeaker array of one line is 2700 mm × 1650 mm and 120kg. Therefore, a luggable linear loudspeaker array (1050 mm × 16 mm, and 5kg) is developed by utilizing the commercial multi-channel surround loudspeaker (YAMAHA YSP-1000). And we actually measure 3D distribution of sound pressure level by the constructed linear loudspeaker arrays system.
