Abstract

The ‘window of implantation’ is a short period when interaction between the blastocyst and endometrium can happen. Yet, the efficacy of this process in artificial reproductive techniques, as well as in nature, is low. Integrins participate in cell-matrix and cell-cell adhesion in many physiologically important processes and were proposed as potential markers of human uterine receptivity. Alterations in endometrial integrin profile of women with infertility were described by immunohistochemical evaluation.
