Abstract

This paper presents the implementation of an MPPT algorithm into a capacitor storage based DC-DC converter destined to photovoltaic systems. In the proposed photovoltaic system, ZETA converter controlled by the pulse width modulation (PWM) technique is studied with the Incremental Conductance (Inc-Cond) MPPT algorithm which allows transferring the maximum of power from the generator to the load where choosing a suitable duty cycle step size and computing the time of response are very important. This proposed photovoltaic system is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink, The obtained results show the advantage of using capacitor storage based DC-DC converters with the photovoltaic system in which the maximum power point is always achieved thanks to the Incremental-Conductance algorithm.
