Abstract

In agriculture we face problems of losses due to plant disease which can be overcome by efficient disease detection in plants. The usual way by which the disease is detected takes too long and thus becomes time consuming. Once identified this process helps in faster and accurate reaching of conclusions. The study is being done by studying the observable patterns obtained from plants’ leaves. Disease detection from leaves is very difficult when done manually. Manual work involves a good knowledge to understand, a long time for processing and hard work which is not necessarily something that everyone can do. Hence, image processing is a convenient way to detect disease. Disease detection in this process involves enhancement, segmentation and then extraction and classification of features. This helps in efficient detection of disease in plants.
