Abstract
The existence of urban freight transport has the potential to promote smooth traffic flow and traffic safety as well as the city’s economy. In association with this, it is necessary to have a system of urban freight transport monitor and control. The main objective of this research was to implement an Android-based urban freight transport violation reporting application, called BuSet Freight App, which can be used to provide real time data as a monitoring and controlling system for urban freight transport in Surakarta City. The results of the implementation of BuSet Freight App on three locations showed that this developed system is very prospective. This system has advantages over the current system in terms of cost, practicality and convenience.
