Abstract
Background: Before the quality improvement project, the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) utilised a paper-based porter requesting system, which was associated with multiple patient transport incidents. To address these incidents, the hospital needs to keep an auditable record of portering activities (unavailable due to data retention by the external portering company).
