Abstract

The relationship with drones and wireless networks poses two key questions; first, how wireless networks help drone personal or technical use. Secondly, how drones can enhance performance of the network, i.e., increase on-demand capabilities, increase coverage, increase capacity, and improve agility as an aerial node. From a networking point of view, the very first category of drones is listed as mobile phones (MEDs) and broadband infrastructure drones as wireless ones (WIDs). This chapter discusses both the MED and WID cases under practical limits of 5G at the start of 5G Phase I completion (Rel-15). We also address possible solutions to transparent challenges which have been highlighted, either by implementing existing guidelines or presenting recommendations for further changes. While drones can easily be inserted into cell phone networks, tend to 4G LTE-A or 5G Rel-15 substantial achievements constructing main structures. Nevertheless, it is important to fine-tune potential launches by looking at current approaches from the MED and WID aspect and to fill the holes with new technologies.
