Abstract

Purpose of this paper, reference very low frequency (VLF) AC high voltage measuring system is creation and examination. High voltage AC measurements and tests are usually performed at 50 Hz frequency. Recently, test systems developed for cable testing have required a frequency range from 0.01 Hz to 1 Hz for AC high voltage measurements. It is not possible to measure very low frequency AC high voltages using conventional AC high voltage measurement methods. In this paper, the definition of the developed measurement system, the required physical conditions, the taking and evaluation of the related measurement data are described in detail.
