Abstract

The purpose of this research was to see the implementation of discipline character in instructional process of Islamic education at State High School 1 Batusangkar. This research was descriptive research. This research focused on teachers’ character and school’s character. Meanwhile to check the trustworthiness of the data, the researcher used triangulation technique. The result of the research revealed that implementation of education discipline character in instructional process of Islamic education at State High School 1 Batusangkar was good. The discipline character building was implemented by giving the direct example to the student, advising, inserting to the instructional process, reminding, and giving punishment. The implementation was done to educate students in order to be obedience, discipline, and scary to make a mistake. Keywords: Discipline Character, Islamic Education, High School, Batusangkar.
