AbstractAndersson, B. Implantation of electrodes into the hypothalamus of the dog by the diasphenoid route. Acta physiol. scand. 1959. 47. 56—62. — A method is described for implantation of electrodes into the hypothalamus of the dog through the sphenoid bone. The leads of the electrodes are brought out on the back of the animal. Electrodes implanted in this way may be used for several months to study effects of hypothalamic stimulation in the conscious dog.
