Abstract
We present a new technique to overcome brachiocephalic tortuosity (BT) in cardiac catheterization procedures using right transradial access (TRA). TRA has emerged as an alternative to transfemoral access (TFA). Compared to TFA, TRA causes fewer complications at the vascular access site, allows more rapid ambulation, offers greater post-procedural patient comfort, is cost-effective, and confers mortality benefits for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients [1].
